TIMBER HOUSE I 2nd YEAR DESIGN PROJECT
Timber Construction House on a small, sloped Site
The difficulty of this project was in trying to achieve a relatively large program on a small site with a steep incline without losing the language of a timber construction residential house.
I stacked the program over four levels, with the lowest level (Level -1) dedicated to parking bays, 'Level 0' dedicated to living spaces and the two highest levels for bedrooms and more play spaces for children.
I minimised the footprint of the building by raising a great portion of the building on timber columns allowing for garden space at the back of the building.Every level has a generous patio/veranda to enjoy outdoor lounging and the view to the north of the building.
